Preparing for QS Rankings 2025 Cycle: A focus on the Arab region - (on demand)

QS Rankings 2025 cycle has now started. If your institution is planning to participate in rankings coming up in 2024 (for the 2025 edition), then now is the time to prepare your submission. Data collected during this cycle will be used to produce rankings beginning with the QS World University Rankings 2025 (to be published June 2024), QS Arab Region University Rankings 2025 (to be published in October 2024) and ending with QS Subjects Ranking 2025 (tentatively scheduled for an April 2025 publication). This webinar will walk through all the submission guidelines for the rankings and answer any questions.

Dr Ashwin Fernandes is the Executive Director for Africa, Middle East, and South Asia at QS. He works closely with institutions across the regions to better understand the local context and to support the drive for excellence and capacity building. During his professional engagement, he has met with senior leaders from the region and is often invited to speak at several conferences and events on university rankings, ratings, education, higher education etc. He has been a panellist on various discussion forums and presented his recommendations on thought provoking topics related to higher education. Dr Fernandes championed the need for an independent rankings framework for the Arab Region and hence was instrumental in developing the QS Arab Region University Rankings in 2014/15. He also founded India’s first nationwide private sector evaluation framework called QS I-GAUGE. |

In his role at QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), Rami Awad is responsible for Africa, Middle East and South Asia. With the objective of improving education quality, teaching reputation, brand visibility, as well as academic performance, he serves as a point of contact for higher education institutions and ministries in this region. Rami conducted several workshops around the region to share knowledge and the ranking methodologies with all relevant stakeholders, which is a key stage to understand the different ranking systems of QS. |
